We want to get UTURN viewed by as many people as possible in the tech and media industry, as well as in colleges and universities. If you would like to book a screening at your organization and use it to facilitate a dialogue on gender issues or innovative uses of VR, we provide public screening licenses and support to get things organized. If you would like to invite one of the creators of the project to present it as well, please let us know.
For educational institutions, we organize screenings and seminars based on their specific demands, programs or departments. It goes from multidisciplinary exchange, to social studies, diversity & inclusion, engineering, business, journalism, professional development, etc. A seminar might last from a 90 minutes to a full day, and the number of participants is flexible from twenty to a hundred or more. Costs for headsets and licensing fee are very reasonable. Our past university seminars in 2018 have taken place at CSU Long Beach, UC Berkeley School of Journalism, UCB Haas Business School/CITRIS and UCB School of Information.
For private companies, we are partnering with consultants specializing in designing and delivering Diversity and Inclusion training to create revolutionary immersive workshops around our UTURN film. This VR experience fosters a positive dialogue around gender equity and unconscious bias issues by letting each viewer explore both gender perspectives at their own choice. Workshops provide participants with tools to reflect back at the individual, group and organization levels, and take a serious look at their company culture and how to transform it.
